A BIBLICALLY-BASED
GRACE GROUP
FOR WOMEN WHO HAVE
BEEN SEXUALLY ABUSED
We lead the grace group, Restoring the Heart, and we have the privilege of coming along-side women as they work through the process of accepting God’s healing for abuse they have suffered in the past.
Statistics indicate that a high percentage of women have been abused at some time in their lives. Sadly, this means that almost every family is impacted in some way. Sexual abuse is a betrayal, an invasion, and a violation of trust. The result is a deep woundedness. Often an abuse victim feels alone and ashamed, and may be afraid to tell anyone about their abuse. When they do, their family and friends may not know how to respond. Reactions can range from, “That’s in the past. You need to forget about it and move on,” to “You need to forgive and forget. Just commit it to God.” These words minimize the damage of abuse and add to the wounds that already exist.
The damage of abuse impacts many areas of the victim’s life, and is part of who they are today. The person who has been abused may be struggling with confusion about their abuse many years after it occurred. They often do not know what to do with feelings of fear, anger, hurt and shame. Secrecy about the abuse adds to the pain and confusion.
Yet there is hope. It is our vision “to restore those wounded through abuse to a renewed relationship with God, self, and others.” Our mission is “to provide a safe place for the wounded to begin their journey of recovery, and introduce them to the Wounded Healer.”
We believe we understand what you may be thinking and feeling, and ask that you make yourself at home, taking some time to wander through our site to see what we have to offer. You are welcome to email us with any questions or thoughts you might have, or hop on our Blog Site to read some articles or join in on the dialogue.

“It was incredible how God could use a horrible tragedy in a woman’s life and use that for His good and His glory! It brought new friendships, bonds of trust and love that only the Lord could have created.”
